Shindo’s Guiding Approach
Know Yourself, Manage Your Life, Benefit the World
Overview
In today’s world, people have completely lost their way. We do not truly know ourselves, nor do we understand the deeper meaning of life. We lack the wisdom to create our own happiness, let alone the ability to bring benefit to the world. Shindo offers a clear and structured path made up of three progressive steps: Know Yourself, Manage Your Life, and Benefit the World—the essential journey for anyone seeking to change their life outcome.
Step One: Know Yourself
This step reveals the three layers of human body—the Macro Body, the Micro Body, and the Mind. It also teaches practical ways to develop and activate our inner strength.Step Two: Manage Your Life
This step uncovers the hidden source of our suffering and happiness. It explains how pain and struggle arise in life, and offers the theories and tools to achieve a happy life of inner joy and outer delight.- Step Three: Benefit the World
This step reveals the key to helping others. It teaches how to fulfill the Eight Life Roles, guiding us toward a fulfilled life that brings benefit to both self and others.
Step One: Know Yourself
(Become a Healthy Person)
The Three-Layer Strucutre of the Human Body
Many people think they already understand themselves well. But in fact, the “self” consists of three distinct parts. This is what we call the three layers of the human body. These three layers include:
-
The Macro Body – Our physical body
We must learn how to live in harmony with it. If we fail to do so, our body will fall out of balance, leading to illness and poor health. -
The Micro Body – The world of emotional experience
This layer determines how we feel inside, yet most people know almost nothing about it. Without understanding it, we struggle to live in harmony with our emotions. This leads to constant negative feelings—and in serious cases, even mental health problems. -
The Mind – The one that governs everything
All our physical sensations, emotional feelings, and thoughts are shaped by the mind. However, we rarely understand how our mind truly works. Through systematic learning, we can get to know our own mind, learn how to guide it, and begin to develop its hidden potential.
The Three-Layer Structure of the Human Body
Three Dimensions of Health
The Definition of a Healthy Person
Being a healthy person is very different from having a healthy body. True health involves three dimensions:
- A Healthy Macro Body:
This means having a strong and disease-free body. It reflects how well we care for our physical well-being. - A Healthy Micro Body:
This refers to emotional well-being—feeling calm, joyful, and filled with love. When you experience this state, you have attained Joy in the Heart. A Healthy Mind:
This means having a clear and agile mind—more importantly, one that is filled with wisdom. When you reach this state, you have achieved Wisdom in the Mind.
Only when all three standards are met—a healthy body, joy in the heart, and wisdom in the mind—can someone truly be called a healthy person. Physical health is just one part of the whole.
How to Become a Healthy Person
To become a truly healthy person, you need to correct three of the four Life Source Codes:
- Correct the Body Source Code
Learn how to care for your body, restore its natural balance, and reawaken its inner strength. - Correct the Emotion Source Code
Learn how to manage your emotional feelings, enhance your sense of inner happiness, and attain Joy in the Heart. Correct the Mind Source Code
Through systematic learning of the Shindo system, awaken your inner wisdom and intellectual power to achieve Wisdom in the Mind.
By correcting these three source codes, your body will regain health, your heart will experience joy, and your inner potential will be fully developed. As a result, all inner sufferings will naturally fade away.
Step Two: Manage Your Life
(Become a Happy Person)
The Theory of Integrating Three Powers
Shindo presents a groundbreaking theory called the Integration of Three Powers. Based on the three-layer structure of the human body, this approach brings together the three powers within us. When we activate and align these powers, we can we can remove inner conflict and truly transform our lives.
When the Three Powers Work Against Us
The human being is made up of three layers, each associated with a different kind of inner power:
- Macro Body → Body Power
- Micro Body → Emotional Power
- Mind → Intellectual Power
When these three powers are not properly activated or aligned, they begin to work against us:
- Body Power, when inactive, tends toward laziness and poor health
- Emotional Power, without inner joy, brings negative feelings and emotional suffering in the heart
- Intellectual Power, without wisdom, leads to distorted thinking and mental bias in the mind
The Internal Conflict Among the Three Powers
Many of our struggles in life come from the fact that our three inner powers are not working in harmony. Our rational mind and emotional heart often pull in opposite directions—one urges long-term goals, while the other seeks short-term comfort and emotional relief. Meanwhile, our body tends to avoid effort and settles into inertia. Instead of supporting one another, these powers drain each other’s energy, creating a cycle of internal conflict that holds us back from real progress.
The Importance of Integration of Three Powers
The Integration of Three Powers is a core theory of the Shindo framework. To create real transformation in anyone’s life, we must work on three dimensions at the same time: rational thinking, emotional feeling, and physical sensation.
How do we Integrate the Three Powers?
The key is to activate and align these three powers by correcting the distorted life source codes:
- How to activate Body Power?
Learn how to care for your body properly to repair the Body Source Code and activate the Body Power - How to activate Emotional Power?
Learn Shindo Micro-Body Psychology to repair the Emotion Source Code and activate the Emotional Power - How to activate Intellectual Power?
Learn the Shindo framework to correct the distorted thinking patterns and cognitive habits, thereby restoring the Mind Source Code and activating the power of the mind.
Only by eliminating the internal conflict among these three powers can we achieve true unity of body and mind, live fully in the present moment, and experience inner clarity and joy. This is how we begin to transform our lives from the inside out.
Decode the Happiness Source Code
How can we experience real happiness in life? To answer this, we must first understand the Happiness Source Code. This source code reveals the true roots of our suffering and joy—something most people never fully grasp.
The Shindo framework introduces an original model called the Shindo Life Management Model, which offers deep insight into where our happiness and suffering truly come from, and how they shape the outcome of our lives.
The Decoding Tool for the Happiness Source Code:
The Shindo Life Management Model
The Shindo Life Management Model is presented in the form of a clock diagram, consisting of two main layers:
1. Outer Layer – Wisdom in the Mind:
This rational layer contains four key checkpoints, each designed to help correct the Happiness Source Code— the true cause that determines one’s suffering or happiness in life.
2. Inner Layer – Joy in the Heart:
This emotional layer focuses on one central checkpoint, dedicated to correcting the Emotion Source Code and restoring inner joy.
When we successfully improve all five key checkpoints across the inner and outer layers of this model, we can directly reshape the results of suffering or happiness in our lives. This is the essential principle behind the Shindo Life Management Model.
To complete this transformation, we also need to care for the body, which activates the body’s natural strength. Together, these three elements—intellectual power, emotional power, and body power—form the Integration of Three Powers, allowing us to manage life with clarity and strength. This is the path to a happy life of inner joy and outer delight.

Summary
The core logic behind managing one’s life lies in understanding and correcting the four Life Source Codes. By correcting the Body, Emotion, and Mind Source Codes, individuals can achieve holistic well-being by strengthening themselves from the inside out. Meanwhile, repairing the Happiness Source Code allows for effective life management and the attainment of true happiness. Together, these form the foundation of a happy life of inner joy and outer delight.
Step Three: Benefit the World
(Become a Fulfilled Person)
What does it mean to be a fulfilled person?
Through systematic learning of the Shindo framework, if you have accomplished Step One—Know Yourself—and Step Two—Manage Your Life, you will surely become a happy person, living a happy life of inner joy and outer delight.
But this is not the end. True fulfillment means going one step further—making a conscious effort to help those around you, especially the ones you love, also achieve happiness. Only then can life be considered truly complete and meaningful.
Fulfilling the Eight Life Roles
The practical path to achieving a fulfilled life is to bring benefit to others through your daily interactions. To do so, one must further learn how to fulfill the Eight Life Roles. This is the key to building harmonious relationships and helping others find happiness through your presence and actions.
When you master these Eight Life Roles, you are truly benefiting the world. This is what it means to live a fulfilled life.
To truly benefit the world, we need more than just theories like the Integration of Three Powers. We also need practical tools and methods. This is exactly what Shindo’s original framework for the Eight Life Roles provides—a solid theoretical foundation paired with structured, actionable learning. The key concepts are illustrated in the diagram below.
Summary
The journey of Knowing Yourself, Managing Your Life, and Benefiting the World represents three progressive levels of personal growth. The first two—knowing yourself and managing your life—are inward-focused. They are designed to help us achieve a happy life of inner joy and outer delight. The third level—benefiting the world—is the outward expression of these achievements.
Once we master the Eight Life Roles, we can truly support those around us, helping them find happiness in their own lives. In this way, we not only uplift ourselves but also begin to bring real benefit to the world.
The complete Shindo framework is built on this inner-to-outer progression: know yourself, manage your life, and benefit the world. It is a life system that moves from the inside out, from self to others—first helping oneself achieve a happy life, and then extending that happiness to others.
