I first encountered the Shindo framework when I was around fourteen years old, and it’s been about three to four years since I began learning it. Before that, I wasn’t very happy. I was in middle school, spending my days in endless cycles of classes, homework, and exams. After evening study sessions, I would go home and collapse into bed. The pressure to perform kept growing. I had no real sense of direction, let alone a dream for the future.
Then the COVID-19 pandemic hit, and I took a break from school for a while. It was during that time that I came across Shindo. Looking back, I now see it as one of the greatest blessings of my life—to discover a life-changing system while I was still so young.
Many of Shindo’s perspectives gradually shifted how I view life. It taught me how to live more wisely, what it means to set meaningful life goals, and how to reconcile with my emotions when I feel angry. I learned how to show true respect to my parents and how to manage friendships better. Over time, I became more open and cheerful. I used to feel like I was drifting in my own little world, confused and unfocused. Now, I think more clearly and understand things more deeply.
One of my favorite ideas from Shindo is this: “Thoughts shape behavior, and behavior shapes outcomes.” Just like what Shindo Life Management Science teaches—once I understood what truly benefits my life, my thinking changed, and so did my actions. I used to live passively, but now I intentionally choose to do meaningful things. The way I look at life and handle situations has changed—and so has my sense of happiness.
In this age of information overload, with endless short videos and addictive content flooding our phones, it’s hard to tell what’s real and what’s not. If I hadn’t discovered Shindo, I might be spending my days scrolling through videos or playing games, feeling lost and empty. But because of Shindo, my life has found deeper meaning. Both my inner world and my relationships with others have become so much better than before.
Looking back on these years of growth, I’m deeply grateful to have met Mr. Way Sun and the Shindo framework. It not only helped me find my life direction while I was still young, but also gave me a heart that is more grounded, enriched, and full of clarity.
